Home Store Hastings

Home Store Hastings is open in Hastings, East Sussex. The shop & kitchen is in a three story Georgian townhouse built in 1823, originally a soda bottling shop. I love it.

Genbyg Design

Genbyg Design (Recycled Design) is based in the company Genbyg that since ’98 specializes in purchasing and reselling used building materials. Genbyg Design uses various materials from the recycling depot and plays with different forms of carpentry. Genbyg Design has now creates their own good ideas, with emphasis on the imaginative reuse of high-quality materials, combined with sustainable design. They work on the materials in their own carpentry workshop on Amager, Copenhagen, and collaborate with other designers to develop products that are both beautiful to look at and within a reasonable price range. It certainly helps that they have used Morten Holtum to take a lot of beautiful pictures of the products.

Vertical Garden

This gorgeous Paris apartment has a feature wall like no other, a living vertical garden designed by none other than world famous botanist Patrick Blanc. Blanc was the original creator of the vertical garden, and with his trademark green hair he has fast risen to iconic status, having recently worked on Quai Branly museum by Jean Nouvel.
The impressive garden measures 6 meters wide and 7 meters tall, dominating the living room in an impressive cascade of greenery. Truly remarkable, especially as the owners only managed to pin down Blanc’s talents because of their long standing friendship. via pagesdigital
