Postmodern architecture: TV-am television studios, London by Terry Farrell

As one of the few architects that didn't shy away from being labelled a Postmodernist, Terry Farrell is responsible for some of the UK's first and most important examples of the style. In the latest instalment from our Postmodernism series, we look at his television studios for TV-am, which featured a Japanese temple, a Mesopotamian ziggurat and 11 rooftop eggcups via dezeen

Aire Vallromanes

AIRE de Vallromanes is located in an area full of history. In fact the name Vallromanes comes from the roman villages which made the valley become a roman settlement.
Aire Ancient Baths always locates itself in restored historical buildings, in this case in a farmhouse that dates back to 1497.
Aire always incorporates the historical elements of the space, in this case one of the massage rooms is located in the space used to dry the agricultura while the whirpool was the house’s stable.
The entire restoration process is done to preserve the original structure of the building while creating the thermal circuit.

TWA Flight Center / Eero Saarinen / JFK

Right now, a team of digital scanning whizzes is back in their Florida lab, making a digital 3D model of the TWA Flight Center. Last week, while the staff and their equipment were hard at work recording every curve, bend, window, and facade of Eero Saarinen's 1962 terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport, photographer Max Touhey was granted access. That much free time inside the historic, beloved landmark is hard to come by—especially with a camera in hand—given that it has been off limits to the public since 2001 and is set to undergoredevelopment into a boutique hotel.
